Yes, it was quite a charming display. Birthday cake by special messenger, the baby bird and motherly instincts. So perfect on the screen. I relish these moments when someone with a completely different energy comes to intervene within a situation in a lovely, innocent and unrestricted way.

Thanks for framing this moment, in what could of been dismissed as pedestrian, drunken folly, became exceptional and rare. Its important for me to see in this way, I'm glad you shared it with me.

You missed the part at the park where the old ferry landing stood, at the end of Grand a block past Kent. There was much singing and dancing. A grand a cappella serenade of the lovely couple through Russian lovesick songs. Extremely innocent, and with a kind of magical disbelief from the other people at the water. Russians out of Russia, breathing once again. All relief and warmth, a very joyous moment. And oddly, none of them drunk in the least. Just the end of a lovely trip. The closing of their first week as performers in the western world. Youthful possibility. It was a beautiful shared moment, far too seldom seen.

I believe I hear the murmurings of a novel, the underpinnings of a modern chronicle. There is a tenderness in this stories jubilance. If I was there I may have truly missed it, perhaps, by taking innocence for granted. A reminder that maybe innocence may resonant beyond youth , could be more than a spectacle, but rather a constant and undefinable purpose throughout life.
